The National Parks Planner Blog

Hey there! I'm Chris, a twenty-something from the UK with one target on my bucket list - currently split into 63 National Park shaped pieces! Travelling for months in 2017, I was lucky enough to tick off every state in the contiguous United States. After air boating in Everglades NP, a few weeks later I stood on top of the Beehive Trail in Acadia. It was then when I realised the incredible diversity of the National Park System, and could see the unique features that makes each one special. So I decided then that a main goal in my life would be to see them all!

In 2020, during the first UK national lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was researching future trips but struggling to find all the information I was looking for. Grabbing snippets from Wikipedia, the official National Park Service website, and different travel blogs, I could put together some exciting itineraries. But doing this for every park to decide which one I wanted to adventure to next was exhausting.

So I decided to set up National Parks Planner to try and use my experiences to help others gain an insight into the character and qualities of each park! I believe that by finding the parks that offer the traits someone's looking for, they only gain appreciation for the world we live in, at a time when Earth arguably needs it most. (Plus, it keeps me busy and gives me a place to cheekily show off my photos too...) I hope you enjoy it here!
